Democratic Congressional Primary in the 8th District, June 12th

On June 12, 2012 there will be Democratic primary in Virginia’s eighth district which is currently represented by Congressman Jim Moran.  The eighth district includes parts of eastern Fairfax County as well as the cities and counties of Alexandria, Arlington, and Falls Church.  To find more information on your voting precinct, click here to see a list of every precinct in the district as well as a map of the new congressional district.  Because of redistricting it would be advisable for voters to check to make sure they are still located within the 8th district.  The winner of the primary will move on to run against the Republican candidate in the general election.  The deadline for absentee voting for the June 12 primary is Saturday, June 9 at 5 p.m.  For more information on in-person absentee voting, click here.  To request a mail-in absentee ballot, click here.  The polls will open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
