Voter Registration Deadline, online or by mail: February 12
- 11:59 p.m. online, or postmarked by mail on or before February 12.
- Register online using the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen portal.
- Download a voter registration application.
Voter Registration Deadlines, in Person
- Through February 12 at 5:00 PM: Register at the Fairfax County Office of Elections.
- February 13 – March 2: Voters may register at an early voting location and vote a provisional ballot.
- On March 5 election day, voters may only register at the precinct in which they reside and vote a provisional ballot.
- Members of a uniformed service of the United States on active duty and their spouse and dependents residing with them and anyone who resides temporarily outside of the United States are entitled to extended provisions and alternative methods for voter registration. Contact the Fairfax County Office of Elections for information.
