National Day of Service with the Fairfax Democrats

The Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC), is sponsoring a park clean up as its National Day to Service project. We will meet at Annandale Community Park, move along the proposed Annandale Greenway to the Manassas Gap Railway Historic Park, and end at the new Pop-Up Park behind the ACCA Child Development Center (7200 Columbia Pike) next to the fire station.

At the last stop, we will be joined by the Soul Rebel food truck (run by local community leader Kofi Annan) and hear from local elected officials.

This September 11th is the twentieth anniversary of the day when many of us lost friends and colleagues here, in New York, or in Pennsylvania. Let’s be together this day, do good, and honor their sacrifice.

The Fairfax County Park Authority is providing the bags, gloves, permits, and trash bag removal. Please bring comfortable walking shoes and appropriate apparel.
