APPLICATION DEADLINE: Virginia Progressive Leadership Project Cohort 7

The Virginia Progressive Leadership Project (VAPLP) specifically recruits, supports and trains people of color, women, people who identify as LGBTQ, immigrants, young people and people from working-class communities.

VAPLP is specific in the people we serve because we understand that race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or disability often limit a person’s access to leadership development opportunities. VAPLP believes that everyone should see themselves reflected in the leadership of our communities, non-profit organizations, and elected officials.

The upcoming 2021 cohort begins April 9, 2021 and will be fully virtual. Each participant must complete an application and a virtual interview with the Director via zoom. Applications are valid for one (1) year from the application date.

Attendance Policy: Each selected participant must attend all weekends and participate in the entire duration of the weekends to successfully complete the program. Only participants who attend all required training will be eligible for graduation and access to Alumni Support. Virtual graduation is August 1, 2021. 

The deadline for COHORT 7 application is February 26, 2021 at midnight.
