Join the Mount Vernon Democrats for our 15th Annual Mardi Gras Festival and Straw Poll on Saturday, February 18 from 6-9pm. Come enjoy our venue, the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center, where you can view amazing art by local and nationally known artists. Also, the Suffragette Museum will be open for all event attendees to view.
Come for the music, food and fun! Enjoy New Orleans-style Gumbo and Jambalaya, Beignets, and King Cakes. Enjoy live New Orleans jazz music from a six-piece Dixieland jazz band, and hear from our great elected officials and candidates. Participate in the annual straw poll, and cast your ballot for your favorite Virginia Senate, Virginia House, and Fairfax County candidates.
