Congressman Jim Moran has been a great representative for Northern Virginia. The voters of the 8th District have spoken; Don Beyer will continue to move the region forward. On behalf of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, I’d like to congratulate Don Beyer for emerging victorious in the Democratic primary. We look forward to working with him when he is elected and seated in the 114th Congress.
The Fairfax Democrats can now move forward with our unified ticket: Senator Mark Warner, Congressman Gerry Connolly in the 11th District, John Foust for Congress in the 10th District, and now Don Beyer. I’d like to thank the dedicated Democrats who stepped up to run in this competitive primary: Lavern Chatman, Adam Ebbin, Bill Euille, Charniele Herring, Patrick Hope, Derek Hyra, Satish Korpe, Mark Levine, Alfonso Lopez, Nancy Najarian, Bruce Shuttleworth and Mark Sickles. Their contributions made for a lively debate in the months preceding yesterday’s primary.
With the nomination of Don Beyer, we’ll move onward to victory onNovember 4th! Please take the time to come out and volunteer this year!
