Thank You to our Veterans and our Troops.

Veterans Day allows us to pause and reflect on how grateful we are for those who have served our country in military uniform.  From those who have died in defense of freedom, to those who have been injured and live with the sacrifices they made, to those who have served with honor and then gone on to lead meaningful lives, we owe special gratitude to the men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States.
While the United States is engaged in conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq, we especially remember and acknowledge those who currently serve in the U. S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. When our service men and women are deployed overseas, their families must continue their lives here at home. The unique challenges these families face in support of men and women in uniform allow us all to enjoy democracy and freedoms unique among the developed countries of the world.
Today, if you can, please take a moment to express thanks to the families of the veterans and active service members that you know. Consider making a contribution through our “Support the Troops” web page, or engage in another service project of your choice. But most of all, remember those who serve, so that we will continue to enjoy the freedoms of democracy every day of the year.
