Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland was involved in a non-life threatening car accident over the weekend on his way to his farm in Accomack County, Virginia. He sustained injuries to his left leg and hip. After undergoing a successful surgery on Monday, November 17^th, Supervisor Hyland is recovering in the hospital and doing well.

Supervisor Hyland’s office is open, and he is in constant communication with his staff about Fairfax County business.
