COMMON REASONS TO VOTE EARLY

  • Will you be outside of Fairfax County (such as Arlington or DC) for any period of time for work, business or personal reasons on June 13?
  • Are you or your spouse going to school or college outside of Fairfax?
  • Will you be working and commuting for 11 hours or more between 6am and 7pm on June 13 (even if you never leave Fairfax County)?
  • Are you disabled or ill, taking care of a disabled or ill family member, or are you pregnant?
  • Are you a first responder?
  • Will you or your spouse be on active military duty outside of Fairfax on June 13?
  • Will you be temporarily residing outside of the US on June 13?

WAYS TO VOTE

For in-person absentee voting, simply show up at one of the locations above, fill out and turn in the absentee ballot application, and you’ll be directed to the voting machine.  Absentee ballots are always counted on Election Day.  Be sure to bring a photo ID (click here for a list of acceptable IDs and info on how to get a free one).
The deadline to request a mail-in absentee ballot has passed. If you already have a ballot that has been mailed to you, it must be received at the Office of Elections by 7pm on June 13, or you may personally bring it to your polling place.

To vote on primary day June 13th, go to your regular polling place between 6am and 7pm.  Be sure to bring a photo ID (click here for a list of acceptable IDs and info on how to get a free one).
